PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give adequate Police Protection to the petitioners for entering into their property for the purpose of subdivision and fencing the above said property in S.F.No.206-1 to an extent of 0.92.0 ares (2.27 acres) situated in Varpattu Village, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 04.08.2025. 1/4

O R D E R

Seeking police protection for fencing his property, the petitioner has submitted a representation before the respondent police and filed this writ petition.

2.Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents and submits that the petitioner has submitted a representation only on 04.08.2025 and immediately moved this writ petition before this Court. He further submits that in the event, if any request has been made by the Revenue officials for police protection, they would provide the same.

3.Considering the manner, in which, within a few days from the date of submission of representation, the petitioner has moved this writ petition, even without awaiting for the response of the respondents, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ 2/4

petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. In the event, if any request has been made by the revenue officials, the respondent police is expected to provide police protection.
