ORDER

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contends that the respondent has not complied with the order passed by this Court in W.P. (MD).No.11109 of 2022.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner has not submitted any online application as directed by this Court. The petitioner's counsel disputes the same. I do not want to go into the said controversy. The learned Government Advocate has produced a copy of the proceedings of the Tahsildar, dated 10.08.2022 indicating that since the deceased Baskaran is having two wives and necessary documents have not been produced, the application has been rejected. I am not able to appreciate the stand of the respondent. That the petitioner is the mother of the deceased Baskaran is not in doubt. While there may be a dispute regarding the status of the wives, there cannot be any dispute regarding the petitioner's status as mother of the deceased. 2/4

3.I, therefore, direct the respondent to issue a certificate stating that the petitioner is the one of the legal heirs of the deceased Baskaran. Such certificate shall be issued by the respondent within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.This contempt petition is disposed of accordingly. 11.10.2022 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No TM To Mr.Thirumalai, Tahsildar, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District.
