ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 3 to take necessary action and pass orders pursuant to the order passed by the second respondent in proceedings O.Mu.E 3135967/2025/A5, dated 16.04.2025, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Ramakrishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate, for the respondents 1 to 3. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

According to the petitioner, he submitted an application before the second respondent seeking correction in the revenue records pertaining to the property comprised in S.No.329/5, situated at Mandayoor Village, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukkottai District. The said application was forwarded by the second respondent to the third respondent in the proceedings mentioned above, with a direction to submit a report before the first respondent, if the petitioner's request pertains to the correction of UDR records or before the second respondent, if the petitioner's request pertains to non-UDR correction. The third respondent has not taken any steps to comply with the said direction. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court. 2/5

4. The learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for respondents 1 to 3, submitted that the representation made by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law, and a report will be filed before the competent authority within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 3rd respondent is directed to submit his report before the first or second respondent, as the case may be, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the report from the competent authority, either the first respondent or the second respondent, as the case may be, shall consider the petitioner's request and pass final orders within a further period of twelve (12) weeks, after affording a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, the 4th respondent, and other interested parties.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
