ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/ Accused was arrested by the respondent police and remanded to judicial custody on 05.04.2022 for the offences under Sections 8(C) read with 20(b)(ii)(c), NDPS Act in Crime No.113 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 05.04.2022, at about 2.00 p.m., on receiving secret information, the police team went to the place of occurrence. On suspicion, they checked the bags of the accused persons and found 22 kgs of Ganja. The contraband was seized and the accused persons were arrested. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent, he has been falsely implicated in this case and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and perused the materials on record.

5. On perusal of the records, it is seen that inspite of repeated adjournment, the learned counsel for the petitioner was not ready for arguments and the matter was listed today. The trial is pending before the Special Court under EC Act Cases, Thanjavur.

6. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he will be satisfied if a direction is given to the trial Court to dispose of the case within a stipulated time, since the petitioner is in custody for nearly 2 years.

7. The learned judge, Special Court under EC Act Cases, Thanjavur, is directed to complete the trial process within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
