ORDER
The grievance of the petitioner is that the petition filed before the Special Court under the TNPID Act, Madurai, seeking cancellation of bail granted to Accused No.7 in Cr.M.P. No.599 of 2023, has been pending from 24.11.2024.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner, by referring to the daily status report of the Special Court, TNPID Act cases, Madurai, in Cr.M.P. No.599 of 2024, submits that the matter continues to remain pending before the Court.
3. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) submits that certain applications connected with Neo Max Finance Companies are pending before the Hon'ble Principal Bench of this Court. However, he admits that there is no other application of a similar nature pending against Accused No.7 before the Hon'ble Judge dealing with other connected matters.
4. The pendency of some other issue before this Court is not a ground to withhold disposal of an application filed by a victim seeking cancellation of bail. Such application can be decided on its own merits. In the absence of any specific direction from this Court restraining the 2/4
Special Court from dealing with such applications, the learned Special Judge was not justified in keeping the matter pending from 22.11.2024. Accordingly, this Court directs the learned Special Judge to conclude the proceedings in Cr.M.P. No.599 of 2023 on its merits.
5. This petition is disposed of.
