PRAYER:- Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to revise and regularise the service seniority and give the notional promotion equal to the post of Inspector of Police rank to the petitioner from the year of 2008, in the light of the proceedings in G.O.Ms.No.221 dated 04.03.2010 and C.No.Pii(1)/ 28689/2017 dated 07.06.2017 with monetary benefits on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 04.07.2018. For Petitioner : Mr.A.Rajaram For Respondents : Mr.A.K.Manikkam, Special Government Pleader

ORDER

The petitioner is called absent today as well. The matter was earlier listed on 11.01.2022 and directed to be listed today for dismissal as there was no appearance on the earlier occasion.

That apart, Mr.A.K.Manikkam, learned Special Government Pleader who appears for the respondent would draw attention to paragraph No.8 of his counter, wherein, second respondent, Commissioner of Police has stated that petitioner had sought same relief as sought in this writ petition in an earlier writ petition in W.P(MD).No.9208 of 2014 which has been dismissed by this Court on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.16817 of 2018 09.02.2018. He would state that the fact has not been disclosed in the present writ petition.

3. For aforesaid both reasons, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
