This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the first to fourth respondents from granting permission to the fifth respondent to run a firecracker shop situated in Survey No.432/2C1, Chettiyapathu Village, Tiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2025.

2. This Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage, after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the first to fourth respondents and after dispensing with notice on the fifth respondent, as no adverse order is proposed to be passed against him, by directing the first respondent, District Collector, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2025 seeking not to grant permission to the fifth respondent to run a Page No. 2 of 4

firecracker shop, which is located in close proximity to the petitioner's shop and godown as well as to other shops and to cancel the permission, if any, already granted by the official respondents, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to state, before passing any order, the fifth respondent shall be heard.
