2. The case of the prosecution is that on 24.09.2022, the accused persons were found in illegal possession of 3 kgs and 500 grams of ganja. Hence, the complaint.
3.On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that a false case was foisted against the petitioner. The petitioner is noway connected with the offence. As per the confession of co-accused, this petitioner, who is working as Jail Warden was implicated in this case. Hence, prays to release him on anticipatory bail. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

4. On the side of prosecution, it is stated that in this case, totally seven accused and the petitioner used to collect ganja from Madurai region, for the purpose of selling. If the petitioner is released on bail, he may tamper the material witness, which will hamper the investigation and prayed to dismiss the petition. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, nature of the case and the specific overt act attributed against the petitioner and also considering the strong objection raised by the prosecution, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him.
6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
