ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct the Annual "Aadi Pongal Vizha" by the Devendrakula Velalar Community on 12.08.2025 and 13.08.2025 at Sri Aulmigu Muthaiya Thirukoil situated in Samsigapuram Village, Thiruvengadam Taluk, Tenkasi District based on the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2025.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on instructions submitted that there is a dispute between two rival groups during Masi Sivarathiri festival. Now the petitioner seeking permission to conduct the "Aadi Pongal Festival".

3. Therefore the fourth respondent Tahsildar, Thiruvengadam Taluk, Tenkasi District is directed to conduct Peace Committee Meeting by calling the petitioner as well as the respondents and pass orders. The said meeting shall be conducted and completed on or before 11.08.2025 since the "Aadi Pongal Festival" is scheduled to be held on 12.08.2025 & 13.08.2025. 2/4
