ORDER

This petitioner seeks a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ramanathapuram, to expedite the trial in S.T.C.No.2346 of 2022 and complete the same within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The Hon'ble Supreme Court has repeatedly held that time frame cannot be fixed for disposal of the case. It is not in dispute that several older cases are pending before the very same learned Judicial Magistrate.

3. Hence, this Court cannot issue any direction as prayed for. However, considering the fact that the petitioner is aged about 55 years, the learned Judicial Magistrate may consider the expeditious disposal of the case.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
