PRAYER :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 4th respondent to issue new Electric Connection to the petitioners house situated in S.No.37/1 at Devapattu Village Group, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District.

By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. The writ petition has been filed for a mandamus to direct the 4th respondent to issue new Electric Connection to the petitioners house situated in S.No.37/1 at Devapattu Village Group, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he has given a representation to provide electricity service connection to his land. According to him, 2/4

he is a senior citizen and he has not made any application, however, has given a representation alone.

4. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the respondent Board that on giving proper online application along with relevant documents, the service connection would be provided.

5. In such view of the matter, the petitioner shall make an online application with necessary documents and on such application being made, the 4th respondent shall consider the same and accord necessary electricity service connection to the petitioner's land.

6. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
