Respondents (R3 is suo motu impleaded vide order dated 07.12.2021 in W.P.(MD)No.21667 of 2021 by GRSJ) Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection for celebrating the festival (Kodi Function) of Arulmigu Sri Vadakasi Ammal situated in Achampatti Village, Vadakkur Pudur Majara, Tenkasi District from 13.12.2021 to 15.12.2021 in a peaceful manner and to Villisai Kacheri and to erect Loudspekar in the temple based on petitioner's representation dated 29.11.2021 made through registered police.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents. 2.The petitioner wants to conduct the petition mentioned event. It is stated that there is no communal problem. Since social life https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.21667 of 2021 has almost returned to normalcy, the third respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner herein to conduct the petition mentioned event. It is open to the third respondent to stipulate appropriate conditions to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. The petitioner gives an undertaking that organizers of the event will adhere to the norms that may be stipulated in the order granting permission.

3.The writ petition is allowed on these terms. No costs.
