This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 and 4 to approve the appointment of S.Sushmitha as Record Clerk in the petitioner's School, with effect from the date of her appointment, viz., 12.06.2023, along with all consequential benefits. 2.Heard Mr.K.Ragatheesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Siddhardhan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4.

3. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. The petitioner School asserts that one post of Record Clerk fell vacant on 01.06.2023 due to the retirement of the then incumbent T.Hepsi Baba on 31.05.2023. To fill the vacancy, the petitioner School appointed a fully qualified candidate, namely S.Sushmitha, as Record Clerk on 12.06.2023. Subsequently, the petitioner School submitted a proposal to the third respondent on 17.04.2025, requesting approval of said appointment. As no action was taken on the proposal, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition before this Court.
5. Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the third respondent to consider the proposal of the petitioner dated 17.04.2025 and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 3/6

Considering the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent, to consider the proposal of the petitioner dated 17.04.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.
