ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed challenging the award passed by the Joint Commissioner of Labour, Tirunelveli under the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923. The present writ petition has been listed under the caption 'For Maintainability'.
2. Considering the fact that there is an effective alternative statutory appeal remedy under Section 30 of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923, the present writ petition is not maintainable. The objection raised by the Registry is sustained and the writ petition stands disposed of, preserving the right of the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.
