It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that even though the respondents Police have registered a case in Crime No.77 of 2022 for the offence punishable under Sections 120B, 416, 417, 419, 420 and 381 IPC, on a complaint given by the petitioner, there is no substantial progress in the investigation.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents submits that so far two witnesses were examined and the respondents Police would complete the investigation as quickly as possible.

Considering the above, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondents Police to expedite the investigation and file the final report as quickly as possible not later than one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
