Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner for cancellation of patta in Nos.707, 708 granted in favour of the sixth respondent in S.No2/1, 3, 2, Valasamuthiram Village, Ottapidaram Taluk, Thoothukudi District, by the third respondent, by considering the petitioner's application dated 02.05.2023.

ORDER

The petitioner has preferred an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer on 02.05.2023 as against the order passed by the Tahsildar granting patta in respect of the subject properties. With a grievance that the said appeal has not been considered, she has filed this writ petition. 2.Learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that on the appeal preferred by the petitioner, enquiry was conducted on 2/5

24.08.2023 and the next date of hearing is on 07.09.2023. She further submitted that the enquiry would be completed within a reasonable time. 3.Considering the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to conclude the appeal proceedings and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the respondents 4 to 6 and other interested parties, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Index :
