O R D E R
Seeking permission and police protection to participate in the temple festival of Arulmigu Sree Karuppasamy Thirukovi, Tehnmalai, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District, which is scheduled on on 14.08.2025, 15.08.2025 and 22.08.2025, the petitioner has approached this Court.
2.Mr.M.P.Senthil, the learned counsel for the impleading petitioner in WMP(MD) No.256 of 2025 has raised an objection that this petitioner was attempting to disturb the festival every year. He further submits that the petitioner is used to interfere with the administration of the temple.
3. In reply, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is not claiming any right over the administration of the temple. He requires only permission to offer his prayers to the deity. 2/5
The learned counsel has also relied on the earlier order passed by this Court in WP(MD) No.19518 of 2024, dated 14.08.2024 and submits that this Court has granted permission to participate in the temple festival in the previous year. The learned counsel undertakes before this Court that he will not disturb the administration of the temple and therefore, he may be permitted to participate in the temple festival and to offer his prayers to the deity. 4.Recording the undertaking given by the petitioner's counsel that he will not disturb the administration of the temple and he will participate only in the temple festival and offer his prayers to the deity, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to permit the petitioner to participate in the temple festival and to offer his prayers. The impleading petitioner shall not create any problem. WMP(MD) No.256 of 2025 is ordered. No costs.
