ORDER

The petitioner has made a request for conducting Kabadi Tournament on 17.08.2025 from 06.00 am to 12.00 midnight. However, permission was granted by the respondent Police restricting the time upto 06.00 pm. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has preferred the present petition.

2.Under the guise of conducting of Kabadi Tournament, the petitioner is not supposed to disturb the sleep of others. However, time may be extended upto 09.00 pm.

3.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents Police to grant permission and provide police protection for conducting Kabadi Tournament on 17.08.2025 from 06.00 am., to 09.00 pm., by following the circular issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu/Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4, in Rc.No.007301/General I(I)/2019, dated 09.04.2019 and 2/4

by imposing reasonable conditions. The respondents Police shall ensure that law and order is maintained during the Kabadi Tournament. No costs.
