PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to disburse the compensation amount to the petitioner's for the property acquired by the respondents, which is situated at Trichy District, Trichy Taluk, Varaganeri Village, S.F.No.2/3B within a stipulated period as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioners with a grievance that the respondents have not provided compensation for the land acquired from them have filed this writ petition.

2.The Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that as against the acquisition proceedings, the other land owners have filed writ petition before this Court and obtained an order of interim stay. In view of the interim stay, the respondents could not proceed further.

3.This Court considered the rival submissions. 4.Since the petitioners have not raised any objections with regard to the acquisition proceedings and they are requesting compensation for the lands which have already been acquired in the year 2011. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner and provide compensation as per the scheme and within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
