The writ petition has been filed forbearing the respondents from forming the connecting road in the petitioner's agricultural property in S.Nos.89, 99/1B, 99/1C, 99/1A1, 99/1A2 and 100/5, Govindanattuchery Village and S.Nos. 249/9A, 249/9B, 249/6, 265/3B, 265/4B and 265, Upalampadi Village at Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District, by considering his representation, dated 27.08.2024.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents produced the copy of G.O.(Ms)No.136, dated 18.11.2024, whereunder the Government dropped administrative sanction for construction of high level bridges across Coleroon River including bridge across Manniyary River connecting Mettutheru (in Thanjavur District) and Melaramanallur (in Ariyalur District).

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the above Government Order, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has now become infructuous.
