orders on the proposal sent by the president, the President, the Kumbakonam Town Co-operative House Limited. Alleging that the direction given by this Court has not been complied with, these contempt petitions have been filed.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate pointed out that pursuant to the direction given by this Court, an order dated 26.08.2019 has already been passed by the Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Housing), Chennai. Therefore, I am of the view that the present contempt proceedings will not lie. I make it clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the matter. The petitioners will have to necessarily challenge the order dated 26.08.2019, in the manner known law. With such liberty to the petitioners, these contempt petitions stand closed.
