ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to initiate enquiry based on his representations dated 08.09.2021 and 11.07.2025
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2.
3. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
4. According to the petitioner, the property with an extent of 19.50 ares in S.No.18/5, with an extent of 0.19.50 acres at Sathanoor Village, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukottai District is his ancestral property. The patta for the subject property was wrongly issued during UDR Scheme in favour of one Velu and Subbaiah in patta no.283. It is also stated by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner the above said Velu and Subbaiah are no more. After acquiring knowledge about the 2/6
mutation of revenue records, the petitioner submitted a representation on 11.07.2025 before the respondents seeking cancellation of patta issued in the name of Velu and Subbaiah and restore the same in the name of the petitioner and issue patta to him. However, the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
5. The Learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the petitioner seeks UDR corrections and therefore competent authority to consider his representation is District Revenue Officer (DRO) and he has not been made as a party.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to forward the representations of the petitioner dated 08.09.2021 and 11.07.2025 to the District Revenue Officer, Pudhukottai within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the said authority shall consider the representations of the petitioner dated 08.09.2021 and 11.07.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a further period of twelve (12) weeks after issuing notice to the petitioner, neighboring land owners, Velu, Mayandi and other interested parties. 3/6
7. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
