Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the cultural programme (ie.,) Adal Padal Dance Programme on 10.12.2021 at 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm in the festival of Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman Thirukovil at Lingappanaikanoor, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District and to provide necessary police protection.

ORDER

The petitioner wants this Court to direct the third respondent to permit him to conduct the petition mentioned event. 2.The petitioner asserts that there is no communal angle. The third respondent is therefore directed to grant permission to the petitioner to hold the petition mentioned event. W.P.(MD)No.21724 of 2021 ensuring the smooth conduct of the event. The petitioner through his counsel gives an undertaking that the organizers of the event will adhere to the police directives.

3. Recording the said undertaking, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
