O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to take appropriate steps for appointing the petitioner as B.T Assistant in Tamil in the forthcoming vacancy in any one of the schools due to retirement or promotion comes under the third respondent congregation by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 13.06.2025. 2/6

2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Having regard to the nature of the order proposed to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the respondents 3 to 5 is dispensed with.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed as BT Assistant (Tamil) in the vacancy that arose due to the retirement of one Mrs.Stella Bai, who attained the age of superannuation on 03.06.2019. The proposal for approval of the petitioner's appointment was forwarded to the authorities, but the same was returned. However, as of now, a vacancy continues to exist at the fifth respondent school. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 13.06.2025 to the respondents, requesting them to consider the petitioner's candidature in the forthcoming vacancy which arises in the fifth respondent School. As no action was taken on the representation, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition before this Court.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents 1 and 2 to 3/6

consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 and 2, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six

(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the same on its own merits. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
