Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to give adequate police protection to the petitioner during survey the property within the time stipulated by this Court and fence their property with adequate police protection to an extent of 85.25 cents of land in Survey No.2/12, Ramanathapuram Village, Thoothukudi Taluk, Thoothukudi.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submit that survey was already conducted in the petitioner's land with the help of police. Therefore, the prayer sought for in the writ petition has become 2/4

infructuous.

2. In view of the same, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
