ORDER
The Petitioner has filed the this Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing second respondent to grant permission for conducting "Pongal Thiruvizha" festival followed by cultural programs including the dance program (Adal Padal) schedule to be at 06.00 p.m., on 12.10.2022 at Arulmigu Kondrimayan Thiruvkovil at Vilampatti, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District. 2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) takes notice for the Respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 3.Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the Respondents. 4.The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner would submit that as the aforesaid festival is celebrated in a peaceful manner by the villagers, there will be no untoward incident on account of this celebration. He would also submit that the Petitioner is the Member of the festival committee. 2/4
5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the Respondents, on instructions, would submit that the permission sought for by the petitioner had already been granted by the respondent police.
6. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Writ Petition is closed.
