This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to initiate necessary steps and grant compensation for the accidental death of the petitioner's father within a time frame as stipulated by this Court based on the petitioner's representation, dated 18.11.2021. 2.The petitioner claims that he is entitled for compensation for the accidental death of his father, Rasu Thevar, who died on 18.01.2018. Under the Chief Minister's Farmers Protection Scheme, he has given a representation on 18.11.2021 to that effect, which till date, has not been considered. In such circumstances, he has filed this Writ Petition.

3.Heard Mrs.A.Karthika, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Linga Durai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

W.P.(MD)No.21779 of 2021 4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation, dated 18.11.2021 is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.Therefore, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 18.11.2021 seeking for compensation for the accidental death of his father, Rasu Thevar, who died on 18.11.2018 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the petitioner will have to furnish all the relevant records before the first respondent to enable him to consider the representation. 6.With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
