This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Orathanadu, Thanjavur Distrit to dispose of CRMP No.1267 of 2021, within a time frame as stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the marriage between the petitioner and her husband was solemnized on 10.02.2021, for which, the petitioner's parents gave 40 sovereigns of gold and other house hold articles as sreedhana. However, the petitioner's motherin-law did not satisfy and she insisted the petitioner further dowry and harassed her. According to the petitioner's counsel, the petitioner was harassed by her mother-in-law even during her pregnancy period also. Due to such harassment, the petitioner's husband allowed the petitioner to go to her parental home on 22.07.2022. On the same day, the petitioner received an information that her husband died. Hence, in order to participate in the funeral, she went to her matrimonial home.
But, the petitioner's mother in law did not allow the petitioner and her family members and attacked them. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur on 24.07.2022. She also lodged separate complainant before the Inspector of Police, Orathanadu Police Station. Further, she sent the complaint to the CM Cell also.
filed a complaint in CRMP No.1267 of 2021, before the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Orathanadu on 19.08.2021. However, it was not disposed of by the learned Magistrate. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the present Criminal Original Petition.
3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking into consideration that the matter is pending from 2021 onwards, there shall be a direction to the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Orathanadu to dispose of CRMP No.1267 of 2021, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the aforesaid direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
