PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse a sum of Rs.33,743/- spent by the petitioner for the treatment underwent by him within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. The present writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse a sum of Rs.33,743/- spent by the petitioner for the treatment underwent by him within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. The present writ petitioner is a retired Government Servant. According to him, he has undertaken a treatment in Saraswathy Hospital, Parassala, Thiruvananthapuram and he had spent a sum of Rs.33,743/- (Rupees Thirty Three Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Three only). The petitioner has given a representation to the 3rd respondent herein for reimbursement of the said amount on 22.06.2023.

3. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the said representation is still pending and no orders have been passed by the third respondent herein.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1, 2, 4 and 5 and learned Standing counsel appearing for the third respondent/Insurance Company.

5. Without going into the merits of the case, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner's dated 22.06.2023 3/6

and pass orders as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

6. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
