ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the first respondent.

2.The petitioner is the wife of the second respondent. She has obtained a charge against him in O.S No.05/2024 on the file of the learned Family Court, Karur. All that the petitioner wants is that registration of the said judgment decree dated 06.02.2025 in resect of the petition mentioned property. It is true that the decree was passed by the Family Court, Karur but the petitioner is also a resident of Karur. The registering authority is situated at Kodumudi, Erode District. That does not mean that the registering authority can decline to register the document. The impugned refusal check slip is quashed. A fresh application shall be submitted by the petitioner. Upon receipt of the same, the registering authority shall register the judgment and decree made in O.S No.05/2024 on the file of the learned Family Court, Karur.

3.This writ petition is allowed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
