Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct respondents to consider the bridge situated at Survey No.217/3A situated at Manamadurai Village, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District with the adequate Police protection. ORDER

The petitioner is having agricultural land and for taking his tractor, he has obtained permission to construct a small bridge across the water channel from the Public Works Department. However, some of the neighbours are opposing the same and therefore, the petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondent Police to provide Police protection to construct the bridge. 2/5

2.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the fourth respondent submits that the Public Works Department has granted permission to put up construction.

3.Since it is reported that the Public Works Department has already granted permission to put up construction, the respondent Police is directed to provide necessary Police protection to the petitioner for the purpose of construction of bridge. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
