ORDER

The petitioner with an allegation that the respondent police is harassing him under the guise of an enquiry has approached this Court. 2.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the official respondents submits that the petitioner has cheated a sum of Rs.89,50,000/- from the third respondent and hence, a case in Cr.No.9 of 2024 has been registered for the offence under Sections 120B, 406, 420, 506(ii) IPC.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is also a victim, however, on the complaint lodged by the third respondent, a case in Cr.No.9 of 2024 has been registered. The petitioner has also obtained anticipatory bail in Cr.No.9 of 2024 and to show his bonafide, he has already deposited a sum of Rs.6,00,000/- to the credit of the Crime number. However, the respondent Police is harassing him often. Further, he submits that the petitioner is prepared to co-operate for the enquiry.

4.Considering the rival submissions, this Court directs the petitioner to appear before the respondent Police on 11.09.2025 and cooperate for the enquiry. The respondent Police is directed not to harass the petitioner, unnecessarily. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
