ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.07.2018.

2. Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

3 By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The facts as set out in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition reads as follows:- The case of the petitioner is that he has purchased the land in S.Nos.133/3A and 133/3A1 at Tiruppachethi Village, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District vide two different registered Sale Deed dated 27.12.2004 in Document.No.2772/2004 and 17.07.2017 in Document No. 1369/2017. Thereafter, he has made an application before the Tahsildar, Tiruppuvanam to conduct a survey in the above mentioned land. At that time, he found that the neighboring land owners namely Karuppaiah and 2/6

his wife Shanthi had laid boundary stones at the petitioner's land. When the same was questioned by him, the said Karuppaiah and his wife Shanthi picked up a quarrel against him. Therefore, the petitioner has lodged a complaint against the said Karuppaiah and his wife Shanthi before the Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai District. However, no action has been taken against them.

5. While so, the said Karuppaiah and his wife Shanthi has sent a legal notice against the petitioner. At this juncture, based on the application made by the petitioner, the Revenue Authorities conducted a survey on 21.06.2018, however, the same was objected by the said Karuppaiah and his wife Shanthi. Therefore, a survey has not been conducted.

6. Thereafter, the said Karuppaiah and his wife Shanthi has made an application seeking electricity connection to the subject property. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has made a representation dated 05.07.2018, seeking rejection of the electricity connection. However, the same has not been considered by the respondent to date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

7. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation dated 05.07.2018, will be considered and orders will be passed within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.07.2018 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the petitioner, the neighboring land owners namely Karuppaiah and his wife Shanthi and other interested parties, if any.

9. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 23.10.2025 NCC :yes/No Index :yes/No Internet:yes/No rgm 4/6
