Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to permit Kaladi Community people to carry out the maintenance work and renovate the Pillaiyar Kovil temple situated in Survey No.174, Nerkattumseval Patcheri, Sivagiri, Tirunelveli District under the monitor and supervision of 1st and 2nd respondents on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 9.10.2019.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

2.The petitioner is a farmer. In his village, there exists a Pillayar temple, which is 300 years old. The farmers of that area want to renovate the temple. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 09.10.2019. The villagers are willing to give an undertaking that they will carry out renovation work under the supervision of the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.22285 of 2019 3.The representation was made only on 09.10.2019 for renovating the temple situated in Survey No.174, Nerkattumseval Patcheri, Sivagiri, Tirunelveli District, which is stated to be 300 years old. Since the petitioner has given an undertaking that the villagers will carry out the renovation work as per the directions of the respondents and bind themselves with the conditions imposed by the officials, the first and second respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.10.2019 and take appropriate decision within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
