This Writ Petition has been filed for for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to reconsider the petitioner's relative merit point as for latest concern of subject of modification by considering the petitioner's representation submitted before the second respondent dated 29.04.2022.

2. The petitioner's father who was working as Watchman died due to harness on 20.10.1998. The petitioner being the youngest son of the deceased has filed an application seeking compassionate appointment in the year 1999. The petitioner originally approached the Central Administrative Tribunal for seeking direction and a direction has been 2/5

given to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application and pass an order. Consequently, the second respondent has rejected the petitioner's application vide order dated 25.08.2014. The petitioner did not choose to challenge the above order, but has given another representation on 29.04.2022 and thereafter filed this Writ Petition seeking direction.

3. The petitioner, who had accepted the earlier rejection order passed on 25.08.2014, filed another representation after 8 years.

4. Since the application is not only affected with delay and latches, but also the failure on the part of the petitioner to challenge the earlier order of rejection, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. 11.06.2024 NCC:yes/no Index:yes/no Internet:yes/no Nsr 3/5
