PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to call for the records in Crime No.201 of 2019 dated 24.09.2019 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Pappanadu Police Station, Thanjavur District and to quash the same as against the petitioners.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to quash the case registered against the petitioner in Crime No.201 of 2019 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Pappanadu Police Station, Thanjavur District.

2. The only ground raised by the petitioners to quash the case pending against him is that on the date of occurrence the petitioners were present before this Court in connection with a case pending before this Court and also produced the copy of visitors pass issued by the Registry.

Crl.O.P.(MD) No.15916 of 2019 from the respondent police would submit that though the case was registered against the petitioners and others, during the course of investigation they found that the petitioners were not present at the time of occurrence and therefore they have deleted the name of the petitioners in the above case. To that effect,he also produced the statement of the Investigating Officer.

4. Recording the submission, made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed, as no further order is required to be passed in this petition. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
