ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose the appeal preferred by the petitioner's father, Tamilarasan, dated 07.09.2022 pending on his file within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.E.Balasubramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner's father submitted an application before the second respondent seeking subdivision and issuance of patta in respect of the property situated in Old Survey No.70, New Survey No.70/2A, Panangulam (East), Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai
District. The second respondent rejected the said application on 08.08.2022. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner's father preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 07.09.202. In the meantime, the petitioner's father died on 14.05.2022. The appeal preferred by the petitioner's father is still pending on the file of the first respondents without any progress. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's father failed to submit the necessary documents. Hence, his application was rejected by the second respondent.
5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the petitioner is directed to submit the necessary documents before the first respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent shall consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner's father, dated 07.09.2022 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a further period of twelve
weeks, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
