This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Kuzhithurai to expedite the trial pending in C.C.No. 2 of 2017 within the time stipulated by this Court. 1/4

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor undertook to cooperate before the trial Court by producing witnesses promptly.

3. The learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Kuzhithurai is directed to proceed with the trial and directed to examine the witnesses on day to day basis. There are totally 11 witnesses in this case. The first two days may be allotted to independent witnesses and subsequent days for the remaining witnesses. Thereafter the learned Magistrate can conclude the examination of witnesses in a period of three days on day to day basis. He/She shall direct the Inspector of Police, Kollencode Police Station to produce witnesses. After conclusion of trial, while disposing the case he/she shall pass comment in separate paragraph regarding the conduct of the accused during the trial proceedings and the conduct of the police in producing witnesses promptly and dispose the case in time.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
