Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondent herein to produce the body or person of the detenue Sofia D/O. Santhakumar aged about 22 years who has been missing from 23.09.2019 before this Honourable Court and set her at liberty.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition has been filed to direct the respondent herein to produce the body or person of the detenue Sofia D/O. Santhakumar aged about 22 years who has been missing from 23.09.2019 before this Honourable Court and set her at liberty

2. On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the second respondent registered a case in Crime No. 631 o f 2019 and after registration of the complaint, the respondent police investigated the complaint and found that the petitioner's daughter Sophia who is aged about 25 years eloped with one Umar and their whereabouts is not known.

3. Considering the above facts, the second respondent is directed to secure the daughter of the petitioner namely Sophia and complete the investigation within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
