Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the Impugned Order in Na.Ka.No.A2/5182/2025 dated 31.07.2025 on the file of the the file of Respondent No.3 and consequential impugned order in Na. Ka.No.A4/594/2024 dated 01.08.2025 on the file of the Respondent No.2 and quash the same as illegal and consequently forbear the Respondent Nos.2 and 3 not to lay the metal road in petitioner's patta land in Survey No.297/4A, 297/4B, 297/5B, 346/1A, 347/7B and 347/7C situated at Virudhappattiyanpatty, F.Keelaiyur Village, Manaparai For Petitioners : Mr.I.Pinaygash For Respondents : Mrs.D.Farjana Ghoushia, Spl. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order in Na.Ka.No.A2/5182/2025 dated 31.07.2025 on the file of the third respondent the consequential impugned order in Na.Ka.No.A4/594/2024 dated 01.08.2025 on the file of the second respondent, quash the same as illegal, and consequently forbear the 2/5

respondents 2 and 3 from laying a metal road in the petitioner's patta land comprised in Survey Nos. 297/4A, 297/4B, 297/5B, 346/1A, 347/7B and 347/7C situated at Virudhappattiyanpatty, F. Keelaiyur Village, Manaparai Taluk, Trichy District.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader produced a letter dated 03.11.2025 addressed by the second respondent / Block Development Officer, wherein it has been stated that the project for laying the road has been abandoned for the present. The learned Special Government Pleader further submitted that steps have been initiated to reclassify the land for the purpose of laying the road, which presently runs through the petitioners' patta land, as a pathway. It is submitted that if such an exercise is undertaken, it will be done only after issuing notice to the petitioners and other interested parties, and only thereafter the reclassification process will be carried out.

3. Recording the above submissions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 04.11.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet:Yes skn 3/5
