The 2018 proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ramanathapuram has been put to challenge in this writ petition. 2.Heard Mr.R.Saravanan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Thanaga Aravindh, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5 and 15 and Mr.D.Balamuruga Pandian, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 6 to 9, 11, 13 and 14.

3.On carefully going through the order, it is seen that that the Revenue Divisional Officer has only made a recommendation to the District Collector for the closure of 13th Madai and it is the District Collector who has to take a final decision.

4.The counsel appearing on either side submitted that till date the 13th Madai has not been closed. If that is so, the petitioner cannot 3/6

have any grievance since the main grievance that has been expressed by the petitioner in the petition is that such closure of 13th Madai is illegal. 5.Nothing survives for consideration in the present writ petition at this length of time and accordingly, the same is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 06.11.2024 NCC :
