ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the respondents to grant permission and protection to provide Annathanam for nearly 2,500 people at sea shore, Thiruchendur scheduled to be held on the eve of upcoming pournami festival on 17.09.2024 based on the representation given by the writ petitioner on 04.09.2024.

2. Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. It is seen from the records that the writ petitioner has earlier filed a writ petition in W.P.(MD)No.19529 of 2024 seeking permission and protection to provide Annanthanam for nearly 10,000 people at Kotta Chettiar Mandapam, Theradi Veethi, Tiruchendur and this Court, taking note of the submissions made on either side, has directed the writ petitioner to give fresh representation to the third respondent and on 2/4

receipt of the same, the third respondent was directed to consider the same and pass orders on 15.08.2024.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that in pursuance of the said direction of this Court, the writ petitioner was permitted to provide Annathanam at Kotta Chettiar Mandapam and now the writ petitioner has sent a representation dated 04.09.2024 seeking permission to provide Annathanam for nearly 2,500 people on 17.09.2024 at sea shore, Thiruchendur and is pending.

5. Considering the above, the third respondent is directed to consider the writ petitioner's representation dated 04.09.2024 and take a decision within a period of two days from today (13.09.2024).

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
