PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned communication in No.P(3)/3481 & 3916/Thiru.R.Arul./PUSM/PCOD-1318/2021 dated 04.03.2021 of the second respondent and to quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to disburse the entire commutation of pension amount of Rs.1,20,653/- (Rupees One Lakh Twenty Thousand Six Hundred and Fifty Three] to the petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner in this Writ Petition is that even after the completion of the 15 year period, the commutation amount of Rs.890/- is being deducted from the petitioner. 2.Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent University has placed on record the commutation deductions made 2/5
by the respondent University from the date of the petitioner's retirement. As seen from the same, the respondent University has stopped deduction of the commutation amount from the month of November 2015. Since it has been established by the respondent University before this Court that they have stopped deducting the commutation amount from November 2015 onwards, the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed and the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has been achieved.
3.After recording the statement made by the respondents that the respondent University has stopped deducting the commutation amount from November 2015 onwards and they have not recovered any excess amount from the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
