O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed challenging the suspension order passed by the third respondent and to direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner as Secondary Grade Teacher in the third respondent school, within a time frame.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was placed under suspension vide order dated 18.02.2025 for an initial period of two months and subsequently, the period has been extended. However, till date, the disciplinary proceedings have not been completed. The learned counsel contended that such prolonged suspension is impermissible in view of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Ajay Kumar Choudhary v. Union of India, reported in (2015) 7 CC 291.
4. Learned counsel for the respondents would submit that I accordance with the applicable Rules, an employee may be placed under suspension for a period of six months. It is stated that the petitioner was placed under suspension initially on 18.02.2025 and the said period is set to expire on 18.08.2025. In the meantime, the disciplinary proceedings are in progress and will be completed within the said period and appropriate orders will be passed.
5. Recording the aforesaid submissions, the writ petition stands dismissed, with a direction to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner on or before 18.08.2025. The 3/6
petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedies in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 13.08.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes PKN 4/6
