Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent Nos. 3 and 5 to provide adequate compensation for the property situated in Survey No.2/3 in Kokkulapi Village, Madurai West Taluk, Madurai District with extent about 464 Sqr. Ft. which was acquired for the National Highway by considering the petitioner's representations dated 15.07.2025.

The petitioner seeks a direction for payment of adequate compensation for the property in Survey No.2/3 ad measuring 464 sq.ft.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the relevant land 2/6
was allotted to the petitioner's grandmother upon payment of consideration. He further submits that the National Highways Department has acquired the land but has refused to pay any compensation for the land.
3. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents. He submits that compensation for the land would be paid subject to the petitioner obtaining a patta in respect thereof.
4. In the affidavit in support of this Writ Petition, the petitioner has referred to an earlier Writ Petition in W.P.(MD) No.3367 of 2025 and an order dated 05.02.2025. Such Writ Petition pertained to the request for patta in respect of 464 sq.ft of land. The fourth respondent therein was directed to dispose of the request for patta within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. The said eight weeks has expired.
5. Considering all these aspects, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing respondents 3 to 5 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.07.2025 for grant of compensation on the basis of the decision 3/6
taken pursuant to the order dated 05.02.2025 in W.P.(MD) No.3367 of 2025. This process shall be completed within a maximum period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. NCS : Yes/No 08.09.2025 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No apd To
