This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.7 of 2018 on the file of the first Respondent police

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the First Information Report was registered in Crime No.7 of 2018 for the offences under Sections 143,290 of IPC and Section 41(A) of Tamil Nadu City Police Act for the alleged offence that took place in the year 2018. Final report laid on 20.10.2022 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Trichy. He would also submit that invoking the provision under Section 468(2) of Cr.P.C, the learned Magistrate had refused to take cognizance of the offence in the final report. 2/4

3. In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed and the First Information Report in Crime No.7 of 2018 on the file of the first Respondent police is hereby quashed.. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
