ORDER

The petitioner claims that he has preferred an appeal in respect of the land in Survey No.454/2 at Noothulapuram Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District, before the respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul, on 12.05.2023. Since the said appeal has not been decided sofar, he has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus directing the respondent for early disposal of his appeal dated 12.05.2023.

2. Ms.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent, on instructions, submits that the petitioner's appeal is pending for consideration and it would be decided by the respondent within a reasonable time.

3. Considering the fact that the petitioner's appeal filed in the month of May 2023 is still pending, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 12.05.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, after 2/4

providing sufficient opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
