O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police for expeditious completion of investigation in Crime No.49 of 2020 dated 31.01.2020 and to file a final report.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that on the complaint given by the petitioner/defacto complainant, the Police have registered a case in Crime No.49 of 2020 on 31.01.2020 for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(1) IPC. The investigation is still pending and thereby, he sought for suitable directions.

3. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondents, on the other hand, submits that the police have examined five witnesses so far and the investigation is in progress. He requests short time to complete the investigation and file the final report.
