Respondents Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to clear the garbages and restore the Pudukulam Tank, comprised in S.No.90, 91 and 92 having an extent of 10,017 sq.mts situated in between Madurai Corporation composed center and IB Office, Karpaganagar, K.Pudur, Madurai and further forbear the respondents to discharge sewage water through the Channel running inside SIDCO Complex, so as to protect the Vandiyur Kanmai and pass such further or other orders as this Honourable Court may deem fit and thus render justice.

ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.B.Ponnu Pandi Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.P.Thilak Kumar , Government Pleader for the 1st to 4th Respondents and of M/S S.Devasena Standing Counsel for the 5th Respondent , this Court made the following order: (Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR,J) Today, the matter has been listed under the caption ''for reporting compliance''
2.This Court, by order, dated 22.12.2022, disposed of the above Writ Petition and to report compliance as to the garbage cleaning work being carried out in the Pudukulam Tank and also to report that Vandiyur Kanmai is protected from the discharge of sewage water. 3.When the matter is taken up today for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the fifth respondent/Madurai Corporation filed a status report, stating that the leakages has been stopped by replacing the discharge pipe leak and discharge pipe Air valve from Karpagam Nagar to sellur leading to Vandiyur Kanmai and it is further stated that there is no leakage of drainage water, into the Vandiyur Kanmai, as of now.
4.The above statement that the leakages of drainage water leading to Vandiyur Kanmai has been rectified by the fifth respondent Corporation is recorded and hence, no further order is required in this Writ Petition.
