Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to withdraw a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- of the Provident Fund accumulation of his own PF contribution available to the credit of first respondent for the fulfillment of the commitment made by him during the marriage of his daughter within the time stipulated as fixed by this Court. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The writ petitioner is employed as a Conductor in the respondent Corporation. He wants to withdraw a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- from the petition mentioned fund in connection with the marriage expenses of his daughter.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is entitled to withdraw a sum of Rs.3,25,000/-. The petitioner has already applied to the second respondent herein. The second respondent is directed to permit the petitioner to withdraw a sum of Rs.3,25,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Twenty Five Thousand only) from the petition mentioned account forthwith and without any delay.
